Trader Joe's (here in CA, anyway) has a decent variety of wines... some are relatively inexpensive... anyone have one or two you would recommend I pick up, next time I am strolling said aisles??

It is made of a variety of French grapes that have been not well known in the US such as Carignane.
It is a welcome diversion from the usual Merlot and Pinot Noir.

Wed, April 26, 2006 - 10:48 AMWith curries or other spicy foods, try the Ironstone Symphony. Light and fruity. I'm usually a red drinker (TJ's has some good basic French and Argentinian table wines), but the Ironstone complements most Indian and Thai dishes better. -

Mon, May 15, 2006 - 10:04 PMI'm partial to "Prosperity Red" - it's a good, full-bodied all-purpose table wine.
The Yellow Tail Cab is solid & reasonable, but not very lively. Good flavor but feels kind of processed. Their Melot is disappointing, however.
The Coppola Rosso (which is mostly Syrah, IIRC) is also good - a step up from those other two (although, of course, a touch more expensive). Flavorfuful yet light on the palate.
